Pine Creek First Nation is currently seeking a HEALTH SERVICES COORDINATOR (Permanent Full-Time). The Health Services Coordinator will hold office at the Pine Creek First Nation Health Centre.
The Health Services Coordinator reports to the Chief Executive Officer and when requested, will report directly to the Chief and Council. The Health Coordinator’s main function is to manage health services and programs and to ensure effective implementation of policies and procedures. The Health Coordinator is expected to perform other health related activities and tasks deemed necessary.
The following list represents the significant duties and responsibilities and is illustrative, not exhaustive.
-Maintain consistent progress towards accreditation and it’s phases and processes;
-Oversee planning, implementation, delivery and evaluation of programs, projects and services offered, such as, medical transportation, building healthy communities, NNADAP, etc.;
-Effective supervision, recruitment, development, performance and retention of Health employees;
-Maintain prudent management of programs and services to ensure they are within approved budgets and applicable program and legislative guidelines;
-Collaborate with other community programs, such as Jordan’s Principle, Employment and Training, Social Services, etc.;
Education and Experience
-Bachelor of Health Studies Degree and/or Health Management Certificate with minimum 5 years’ experience;
-Experience working with First Nations and knowledge of local traditions, lifestyle, and language is an asset;
-Proficient in computerized systems (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point);
-Must possess excellent written and verbal skills;
-Must be professional at all times;
-Must be available to work flexible hours and travel when required;
-Must have valid class 5F driver’s license and reliable transportation;
-Must be willing to adhere to Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry and Adult Abuse Registry Checks, and Employee Drug and Alcohol Policy;
-Negotiable based on education and experience
